LaserCard Reports Progress on Angola National ID Card Program
Delivery of $2.8 Million of Card Personalization Equipment and Supplies Completed
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – April 1, 2009 – LaserCard Corporation (NASDAQ:LCRD), a leading provider of secure ID solutions, today announced it has delivered a $750,000 shipment of personalization systems and consumables for the Angola National Citizen ID Card program completing the initial $2.8 million order. The purchase order which was announced in October 2008 was received from the Angolan government’s prime contractor, DGM-Sistemas of Luanda.

Deliveries on the separate $8.8 million purchase order for secure custom optical memory cards will commence after approval of the card design. Card deliveries should begin at a low rate in the June quarter and accelerate throughout the fiscal year ending March 31, 2010.
